TEMPLE OF THE MOST HIGH
Why did that god want the Temple of the Most High and His City? Well lets back up a bit. Remember this:
First, notice from both Old and New Testaments that the man of mystery, Melchizedek, was a priest of the Most High God. Turn to the account in Genesis 14. During the war between a number of ancient city-states in Canaan and Mesopotamia, Abraham's nephew Lot had been captured. He and his family and goods were carted off.
One of their number escaped and brought the news to Abraham, who armed 318 of his own servants and pursued the invaders to what was later named Dan and beyond. Abraham rescued Lot and his family and returned them safely to the Canaanite cities.
What Abraham had 318 servants? More likely 318 fighting soldiers yes. Humm
no wonder Nanna, Marduk or whoever, sent Abraham to Canaan. Looks like to me Abraham was a commander of sorts. But maybe it wasn't those two that sent Abraham to Canaan.
On Abraham's return a man of mystery opens the door for the scene.. Abraham was ministered to by a man called Melchizedek. But who was he that we should worry or pay attention to? Lets look at the account:
"And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was priest of God Most High. And he [Melchizedek] blessed him [Abraham] and said, 'Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!' And Abram gave him [Melchizedek] a tenth of everything" that is, a tithe of all, for a tithe means a tenth (Genesis 14:18-20)
Now it wasn't long after this that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah took place. But something else took place at this same time period.
look at the Erra Epos, it says this:
"I shall kill the son, I will annihilate the father! Nergal with vengeance was
shouting.
The lands they covet will vanish, the sinning cities I will upheaval!
So did Nergal enraged announce.
Valiant Nergal, will you the righteous with the unrighteous destroy?
So did Ninurta his comrade ask.
The instructions of Enlil are clear! To the selected targets the way I will lead,
you behind me will follow! The decision of the Anunnaki to me is known! Nergal to Ninurta, said.
For seven days and seven nights the signal from Enlil the two awaited. As was his intention, when his waiting was completed, Marduk to Babili returned.
In the presence of his followers, with weapons armed, his supremacy he declared;
A thousand and seven hundred and thirty-six was the count of Earth years then.
On that day, on that fateful day, Enlil to Ninurta the signal sent; To Mount Mashu Ninurta departed, behind him Nergal followed.
Wow, who was these peoples? You can read right here:

Now did you notice, weapons were used? This is what some people think. the Ariel bombing of Sodom and Gomorrah and other places they had targeted.
They had consulted with Anu the God of Heaven and he gave orders, here they are:
"Wherever you go and spread terror, have no equal."
He said to the second, "Burn like fire, scorch like flame".
He commanded the third, "Look like a lion, let him who sees you be paralyzed with fear".
He said to the fourth, "Let a mountain collapse when you present your fierce arms".
He said to the fifth, "Blast like the wind, scan the circumference of the earth".
He said to the sixth. "Go out everywhere and spare no one".
The seventh he charged with viperous venom," Slay whatever lives".
What else happened? Look here:
After Anu had ordained destinies for all of the Seven, He gave those very ones to Erra, warrior of the gods, saying:
"Let them go beside you, when the clamor of human habitations becomes noisome to you,
"And you resolve to wreak destruction,
"To massacre the black-headed folk and fell the livestock,
"Let these be your fierce weaponry, let them go beside you".
At this point, realize this, war had come to the land of the gods. Several Gods are named here. Who were they and why are they ready for battle. Lets name them. It was Anu, Enlil, Ninurta, Nergal and Erra the warrior. Yes all of them was ready for Battle. They were planning to kill the creation of Enki the Black Headed Peoples,
Erra did many things that the epos tells us. But focus on what we missed:
O king of all inhabited lands, creator of the world,
O Hendursagga, first born of Enlil.
Holder of the sublime scepter, herdsman of the black-headed folk,
shepherd of mankind,
O Ishum, zealous slaughterer, whose hands are suited to brandish fierce weapons,
And to make his sharp spear flash, Erra, warrior of the gods, was restless in his dwelling,
His heart urged him to do battle!
Says he to his weapons.
Wow we missed someone, his name is Hendursagga, Ishum, first born of Enlil.
What role does he play in all of this? Well to get all this information straight understand Erra has a lot to do when it comes to killing the Black Headed Peoples. But Ishum had said something that makes you wonder:
When Ishum heard what he said, he felt pity and said to the warrior Erra:
"O Lord Erra, why have you plotted evil against the gods?
"To lay waste the lands and decimate the people".
Wow plans are being made to wipe out the Black Headed Peoples again. So Erra responds and says this:
Erra made ready to speak and said to Ishum, his vanguard:
"Keep quiet, Ishum, listen to what I say, as concerns the people of the inhabited world, whom you would spare.
"O vanguard of the gods, wise Ishum, whose counsel is always for the best,
"I am the wild bull in heaven, I am the lion on earth,
"I am king in the land, I am the fiercest among the gods,
"I am warrior among the Igigi-gods, mighty one among the Anunna-gods!
Make no mistake about it Erra is in charge here and he knows his mission. It seems He is ready to act. But he does something suspicious that we have to find out why? What does he do? He goes and talks to a God named Marduk, notice
He says something next:
"All the gods are afraid of a fight, so the black-headed folk are contemptuous!
"As for me, since they did not fear my name, and I have disregarded Marduk’s command, so he may act according to his wishes
"I will make Marduk angry, stir him from his dwelling, and lay waste the people!"
So He is ready to kill, the Epos tells us what happens next, notice:
The warrior Erra set out for Babylon, city of the king of the gods. He entered Esagila, palace of heaven and earth and stood before him..
Wow, Erra is in the temple and standing right before Marduk the God of Babylon. At this point they exchange a few words, but what is later said is whats important. Marduk said something that stirred Erra to say this:
When Erra heard this, he made himself ready to speak, saying to noble Marduk:
"O noble Marduk, while you enter the house, fire cleanses your apparel and you return to your palace, "For that time I will govern and keep strong the regulation of heaven and earth,
"I will go up to heaven and issue instructions to the Igigi gods,
"I will go down to the depths and keep the Anunna gods in order.
"I will dispatch the wild demons to the netherworld,
"I will brandish my fierce weaponry against them,
"I will truss the wings of the ill wind like a bird’s.
"At that house you shall enter, O noble Marduk,
"I will station Anu and Enlil to the right and left, like bulls."
Noble Marduk heard him, the words which Erra spoke pleased him the Epos says.
But Marduk starts asking for some people it seams He knows? Were are they, and who are they? Notice some lines from the Epos:
1-"Where is Ninildum, great carpenter of my supreme divinity?
2-"Where is Kunig-banda, fashioner of god and man, whose hands are sacred?
3-"Where is Nin agal, wielder of the upper and lower millstone?
4-"Where are the seven sages of the depths, those sacred fish, who, like Ea their lord, are perfect in sublime wisdom, the ones who cleansed my person?
Why was Marduk asking for these peoples? He was asking because he knew this was going to be a terrible time in the land of the gods.
But what was going to happen? The writings speak of an EVIL WIND, this we have to find out about.
